Our leadership

Michael J. Palmer, PE

Michael J. Palmer, PE, President and Founder of Synergy Civil Engineering, Inc., with more than 30 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry. His extensive background includes five years as the City Engineer and Director of Public Works for the City of Amsterdam, NY, where he honed his expertise in municipal engineering and infrastructure development.

A graduate of Union College in Schenectady, NY, Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and Florida. His deep understanding of public and private sector needs and his strategic leadership allow him to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions tailored to each client's unique requirements.

As the driving force behind Synergy Civil Engineering, Michael is committed to providing high-quality engineering services focusing on sustainability, efficiency, and client satisfaction. His hands-on approach and dedication to excellence ensure that every project meets the highest standards, making Synergy a trusted partner for complex, straightforward engineering challenges.

Anya Knight, MBA

Anya Knight, MBA, is the Chief Strategy Officer at Synergy Civil Engineering, Inc. With a strong business strategy and marketing background, Anya is key in driving the company's growth and visibility in a competitive market. She works closely with the leadership team to identify new opportunities, develop long-term business strategies, and enhance the company's brand presence.

Anya brings a wealth of experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns, client engagement strategies, and market research. Her ability to align Synergy Civil Engineering, Inc.'s services with the needs of current and future clients has been instrumental in expanding the company's reach, particularly in the commercial and residential development sectors.

Anya holds an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of South Florida. Her approach integrates both creative and data-driven solutions to ensure maximum impact. Her strategic leadership and innovative marketing initiatives continue to elevate the company's reputation and position in the industry.
